KUALA LUMPUR-There was an anxious atmosphere when a gondola with several workers in it spun around in the air due to strong winds in the incident at Jalan Kamuning, here, yesterday afternoon.
Through a viral video recording, some workers in the gondola tried to lower the gondola but failed due to strong winds before hitting the structure of the building until the windows broke.
The incident triggered an anxious atmosphere before witnesses at the scene contacted the fire brigade to help the victims who were stuck in the gondola.
Meanwhile, the Kuala Lumpur Operations Center (PGO) in a statement said it received an emergency call regarding the incident at 3.56 pm.
A total of four members from the Pudu Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were rushed to the scene.
"When the fire brigade arrived at the scene, the victims who were stuck in the gondola managed to save themselves by getting off on their own," he said in a statement yesterday.
He said no rescue operation was carried out by the fire brigade in the incident and the case was considered complete.
