By JustineG

A distressing incident occurred in Lukut, Port Dickson on Saturday, 27th May 2023, when an eyewitness named Rajes witnessed a man dragging a chained dog with a car at approximately 7 PM. The heart-wrenching sight prompted Rajes to take action and try to stop the cruel act.

Rajes courageously chased the man's car on his bike, desperately urging him to halt the inhumane act. Despite Rajes' efforts, the man displayed no intention of stopping, forcing Rajes to overtake the abuser. In response, the man brazenly asserted that he had the right to do "whatever he wants" with the dog since it belonged to him.

The concerned witness immediately contacted the police and filed a report, hoping for justice to be served. Rajes was informed that the authorities would be in touch with any updates regarding the case. However, much to his dismay, on Sunday, 28th May 2023, Rajes noticed that the abuser was still moving freely without facing any consequences for his actions.

The current whereabouts of the dog remains unknown, leaving many individuals deeply saddened by the uncertainty surrounding its well-being.

If you possess any information regarding this incident or if you were a witness to this act of cruelty, please come forward and make a report to the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) and/or your local police station. It is crucial to ensure that justice is served, and the welfare of innocent animals is protected. Together, we can strive to create a society that values and safeguards the rights of all living beings.
