Life is a continuous process of living and learning. Age should not be an excuse to hinder us from acquiring new knowledge or skill.
This 91-year-old grandpa from Taiwan is one of those motivated people who proved this right. He is one of the graduating students in National Ilan University (NIU) this year. To top it off, the grandpa has also received a “Dedicated and Sociable” award in the graduation ceremony.
Zhang Yan Zhao (transliterated) said he had to drop out of primary school back in the days to support his family. After so many years, he finally got to go back to school at the age of 80.

According to him, he completed his high school education at 84, and applied for NIU which is near his house for three times before he was finally accepted.
As an elderly man, Zhang is very hale and hearty. He rode a motorcycle to the campus everyday and had never once missed any lessons. However, his lack of knowledge in using computer had forced him to hand-write all the assignments.
Wow, Imagine writing a 10 or 15 pages paper! Using hand! Not even youngsters can do it.
What else can we tell him but ‘Bravo’?
