Couples who are staying together might be wondering, is it safe to continue their "bed-time-story"? Is there any risk-free way of doing it?
Now, looking back at the studies and research, we know that the COVID-19 virus is transmissible through small droplets of an infected patient when he/she cough, sneeze or even talk and that another person breathes it in. Another way of catching the virus is by accidentally touching surfaces with such droplets and then touch their own eyes, nose or mouth.
From the facts, we can know to deduct that kissing, oral sex and anything that involves your mouth, is definitely a no-no.
There are also studies says that the virus is excreted in feces as well. Hence, anything that involves anal is risky as well.
However, the amount of virus transmissible in semen or vaginal fluid is considerably minimal. It is safe to assume that the risk of vaginal sex has a lower risk.
With all the above explanations, it does seem that the risk of having intercourse is considerably high.
Does that means sex is not allowed at all during MCO?
Well, the truth is, it depends.
If you are living with a partner in a house, it is considered safe to have sex.
But, if you are wishing to have a causal one with someone who is not your longtime partner, the risk is definitely high.
The good news is, "DIY" is risk free.
All in all, stay safe everyone! Even in the lovey-dovey moment.
