This farmer caused quite a stir when pictures of watermelons wrapped in lacy panties went viral, sparking laughter and curiosity among netizens. While it may seem amusing at first glance, it turns out the farmer had a practical reason for this unconventional method. 

The panties were actually used as a protective covering to ensure the watermelon's skin remains uniform in colour and doesn't turn white. 

This unique approach to fruit cultivation sparked a lively discussion online, with some jokingly speculating if the watermelons would taste sweeter and others pointing out that the presence of tags on the panties ensured they were new and unused.
