Imagine owning a Proton X70 (Premium, that is) from begging people for money.
According to a Facebook post by JKM Maran, a man’s scheme was ultimately foiled due to the guise.
The officers had requested his for identification upon spotting him at a night market in Sri Jaya, but he initially pretended to be deaf and mute.
Although he was born with abnormal hands, he was in fact not the latter at all.
Upon trailing him, they discovered that he in fact owns a Proton X70 which he earned from the lucrative scheme.
He reportedly makes around RM400-RM500 a day from begging at the night markets in that area, apart from receiving a RM450 monthly OKU allowance from JKM since 2001.
