Valentine's day is coming! Still, thinking of the idea to impress your boyfriend or girlfriend? There are many choices for a romantic indoor and outdoor date. Keep his or her interests in mind when preparing Valentine’s Day surprise for him or her. But, one point to remember is to make advance plans and reservations because restaurant seats may not be easy to get when it is around Valentine’s Day.

1. Prepare for an outdoor adventure

If your boyfriend or girlfriend is an active person who loves outdoor games, you may plan an adventurous and romantic outdoor date for him or her. Hiking, camping, and kayaking are among some examples of outdoor activities. To pair with this date, you may even buy him or her some outdoor stuff like a sleeping bag or a thermal water bottle. A picnic by the beach with wine, cheese, fruit and sandwiches can also be a romantic date for both of you.

2. Take him or her to a show or event

You could buy him or her a ticket to a concert, opera or symphony performance if either of these shows (according to your boyfriend's or girlfriend's preference) would happen on or around Valentine’s Day,  If the event is out of the towns that you are living, plan a mini-vacation. He or she will be fascinated by the effort you made for the date. If he or she loves art and antiquities, a museum or art gallery could be the perfect dating place. Most importantly, you do not need to make a reservation for museums. You can even buy his or her favourite art piece as a memorable gift for him or her.

3. Attend a class together

Both of you can spare some time on Valentine’s Day by learning a new skill together. There are different sorts of classes like cooking, painting, dancing and others. If both of you like the class, you can make it a regular date night or a new hobby to enjoy.

4. Do charity together

If your boyfriend or girlfriend loves to be involved in public service, you can spend your time to do the work he or she loves because sometimes time is the best gift you can give. For example, if he or she is an animal lover, you can take him or her to volunteer for an animal shelter or a pet adoption event.

5. DIY gifts

You can personalize a DIY gift to his or her preference. You can design a scrapbook by gathering the favourite photos of both of you and add in some captions such as jokes and memories.  Besides, you can create a slideshow or video, watch it with your boyfriend or girlfriend and you can see his or her reactions in real-time.

You do not need to stress about the gift or the date you plan because your boyfriend or girlfriend would be happier if he or she knows you put many efforts into it.
