A 20-year-old teen desperately wanted his actions to be forgotten after his disgusting behaviour was discovered by the victim.

The victim, a woman, shared her experience of being harassed by a man while using a public restroom at a petrol station in Lahad Datu, Sabah, recently through a TikTok post on the account @ellejohniasmat.

@ellejohniasmat ️AMARAN KEPADA PEREMPUAN DILUAR SANA Pada 29/4/2023 saya dari lahad datu betolak ke kota kinabalu pukul 8 malam dan sampai di petronas ranau pukul 12:50am..kami berhenti untuk ke tandas..saya pergi ke tandas wanita dimana ada 2 tandas didalam..saya pergi ke tandas paling hujung..tapi malangnya tandas tersebut terkunci, mulanya saya berfikir pihak petronas mengunci tandas tersebut..saya pergi ke tandas sebelah..apabila saya sedang buang air kecil,saya terlihat melalui air di lantai,kelibat bergerak2 di tandas sebelah..saya mula pelik sebab bunyi air disebelah pun tiada. Saya berasa seram terdetik dalam hati untuk menoleh ke atas tandas (jenis tandas terbuka atas & bawah) alangkah terkejutnya saya apabila melihat camera telefon menghala tepat ke arah saya..saya sempat teriak hoiii!! Lepas tu saya cepat2 bersiap untuk pergi sebelah dan paksa orang tersebut keluar..namun tiada respond.sampailah saya menendang beberapa kali pintu tandas sehingga pintu terbuka dan saya terkejut rupanya yang merakam tadi adalah seorang lelaki berumur 20tahun & yang peliknya dia masuk ke dalam tandas wanita. Ayat yang pertama dia sebut..aku padam kak tapi saya terus rampas telefonnya dari tangannya dan terus memanggil suami saya d parking kereta petronas . Kami terus bawa ke balai polis ranau untuk tindakan selanjutnya..dan video tersebut telah diserahkan kepada pihak polis untuk dijadikan bahan bukti..saya minta post ini diviralkan agar tiada lagi wanita2 diluar sana yang menjadi mangsa seperti saya.mohon jadikan iktibar dan hati2 menggunakan tandas awam #MySabah Let's go - Official Sound Studio

According to the woman, the incident took place around 12:50 am when she, along with her family, made a brief stop at the petrol station on their way to Kota Kinabalu. She decided to use the restroom but was unaware that she was being recorded by an irresponsible individual.

"I went to the women's restroom where there were two stalls. I went to the furthest stall, but unfortunately, it was locked. At first, I thought the petrol station staff had locked it, so I went to the adjacent stall.

"I noticed movement in the neighbouring stall. It struck me as strange because there was no sound of running water. I started feeling uneasy, and a thought crossed my mind to look up at the restroom. To my astonishment, I saw a mobile phone camera pointed directly at me," she said.

Quickly gathering herself, the woman immediately went to the adjacent stall to confront the person inside and was shocked to find that it was a man.

However, she promptly called her husband, who was waiting in the car, and managed to seize the phone from the perpetrator before handing the phone and the man over to the police for further action.

Meanwhile, she took the opportunity to advise women out there to always be cautious when in public places, including when using public restrooms.

"I request that this post be shared so that no more women out there become victims like me. Please take this as a lesson and be careful when using public restrooms," she urged.
