If you're still struggling with sit-ups at home to lose weight, then, STOP! Sit-ups aren't meant to help you shed those pounds. Instead, you'll need to do the right workout routines that actually work! Here's a list of them: 


1- Weight training

Switch your focus to building muscle instead. This will help you burn fat, restore your body shape & speed up your calorie burn! You won't need those gigantic, fancy weights from the gym for this.

Just a set of dumbbells, a workout bench & some floor space at home. Follow this plan:

- Dumbbell Bench Press- 12 reps. 

Position yourself so that your head, back, & butt are all on the bench. Keep your feet flat on the floor. 

- Dumbbell Row- 12 reps on each side. 


2- High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

You probably heard of this No.1 recommended exercise by gym instructors to burn your unwanted fat. You'll commit yourself to short intense exercise for 10 to 30 minutes with recovery periods.

3- Sprint Intervals

If you prefer to see fast results on the scale, go for the high-intensity cardio workouts. You can do this on the treadmill, an indoor cycling bike, rowing machine or the best one- on a jogging track outdoors.

Follow this plan:

- 30 seconds: Full-out sprint

- 60 seconds: Moderate pace jog

- Repeat 12 times. 


4- 12, 000 Steps- Power Walking

On days you don't feel like going all out on working out, take it slow! Walking can keep up your fat-burning momentum & it's definitely better than lazing around on your bed.

Shop for a pedometer or download an activity tracker app on your phone. Head outside & try to get 10, 000 to 12, 000 steps to lose those kilos. 


5- CrossFit

It's getting popular these days among those wanting to burn calories. Make sure to look for a knowledgeable coach to explain to you all the moves. That will save you from over-doing things & getting injured.
