A 2022 video showing a large python lying under a bed has resurfaced and gone viral recently.
The short video shows a man lifting his mattress, exposing the reptile resting under the mattress' wooden support panels. However, the origin of the video is yet to be ascertained.
The video, shared by Facebook user Coway Balik Pulau titled 'Would you be able to sleep?', sparked debate among netizens on whether one could genuinely sleep in the presence of a snake.
Netizens commented that it was not safe to keep a reptile in a house, let alone under a bed.
A Facebook user Farid Rahmat warned that the snake might go days without eating and starve itself in order to help itself if given the opportunity.
Several users also queried the hygiene of keeping a snake, and whether the reptile's urine would stink.
Another user, Khamarul Ariffin, said the snake might not eat the owner, but assuming he had children, the reptile might attack them instead.
Others commented on the enormous size of the reptile.
