8 Gorgeous Bookstores & Libraries In The Klang Valley That Will Give You Dark Academia Aesthetics

There's something so dreamy and fantastical about bookstores and libraries. Whether you're an avid reader or not, going to a bookstore on a rainy evening, running your fingers across the spines of the books before finally stopping on one that catches your eye and grabbing it to read the synopsis sounds like something the main character would be doing.

You can't exactly be the main character if you're going to your nearest Popular bookstore because it lacks the whole vibe and ambience for that scene. So if you're looking for the perfect bookstore or library that has the vibe and ambience you need to be the main character in a dark academia setting, here are some spots you can visit in the Klang Valley:

#1 Monalisa Bookstore

Although it has a warm colour palette, it does have some dark wood bookshelves that are perfect for dark academia aesthetic photos.

Address: MY Kuala Lumpur Bukit Jalil F-8-1 Pusat Perdagangan Jalan Persiaran Jalil, 1, 57000

Opening Hours: 10:30am to 8:30pm, closed on Mondays

#2 Book Xcess Sunsuria Forum

Book Xcess always managed to create the most unique looking book stores, and here's another one that will make you not want to leave.

#3 Junk Book Store

This biggest secondhand bookstore in KL has secondhand books in piles and stacks all around the store giving it a  very vintage vibe, perfect for some dark academia photos.

Located above an ice cream store, you can get some before going up to the bookstore to curl up in a corner with a good book.

Opening Hours: 11am to 8pm, closed on Sundays

#7 Little Giraffe Story House
