CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes was criticized two months ago for posting a shirtless photo of him sitting at an office conference table receiving a massage. The photo was criticized by netizens, accusing him of not having a public image. 

Yesterday, he uploaded a photo of himself with a shirtless cosplayer on Instagram to express his grievance against the previous criticism and to defend himself.

"'Rangmian Sunuo' (the character who returns the spell) can walk around in downtown Kuala Lumpur without clothes, but I can't? This is not the Shibuya Incident!"

The post quickly aroused discussion among netizens. Some netizens joked under the post that even if Tony walked shirtless, he would still appear in global news.

"Mr. Tony, this is because he is playing an anime character; and you represent a company with a stock value of billions of ringgit."

Some netizens also ridiculed Tony: "Maybe it's because you are handsome and have 6-pack abs, but you only have 'one pack'."  Tony jokingly replied, "I'm hurt, haha."
