A recent viral video showcased a BMW convoy causing disruption on Penang Bridge as they monopolized all the lanes. 

Their slow driving and formation spanning three lines drew widespread criticism for their irresponsible behaviour. 

Frustrated road users were unable to overtake the vehicles, resulting in a one-hour traffic jam stretching from Batu Kawan to Batu Maung. 

The South Seberang Perai police acknowledged the incident and confirmed that the drivers were staying at a hotel in Batu Feringghi. 

As a consequence, the police issued a total of 16 summonses, with 12 summonses for obstructing traffic and the remaining four summonses for displaying fancy number plates.
