Clear skin, weight loss, energy, a peaceful mind and just a generally better life, they all in one way or another equate to one practice: drinking water. 

As difficult as it may be for some, the benefits of water is so much more than our feeble minds can comprehend, and taking at least 8 glasses on the daily will most definitely solve 90% of your problems.

It is great to drink water all the time, but these specific 8 times can do wonders for you. Here they are. 


#1 When you wake up

After a long night's rest, your body sorta needs a jumpstart. The best way to wake all your organs up would be to drink a tall glass of water. It would prepare their functions for the upcoming day. 


#2 After working out

Like second nature, everyone drinks water after they complete a workout, or the breaks during. Losing all that energy and sweat while exercising can make one feel thirsty. Drinking water after an exercise will bring your heart rate back to normal.

We're mostly used to drinking water after we're done with our meals, which is valid, because you can never have too much water. However, did you know that drinking water before having a meal is also crucial? It helps with indigestion.


#4 Before you shower

The number 4 time to drink water is before you take a shower. Having a glass of water before washing yourself can lower your blood pressure. Not to a scary number though, just to one which will only benefit you. 


#5 Before bed

Just like how taking in a glass of water upon waking up is good for you, taking one in before shutting off is also good for you. It replenishes any fluid loss in your body, and preps you for a good night's rest. 


#6 When you're under the weather

It is not a surprise that when you're sick, all of you is also sick, organs included. Drinking water, no matter how bland it can taste especially with a cold, will hydrate your organs, and help them get back in shape to work for your body.

Similar to working out, when you're fatigued from a long day, or just feeling tired mentally, emotionally and physically, drink water. Having a glass of water will help recharge your mind, body and spirit.

Last but not least, when there are sick people in your vicinity. Water helps boosts your immune system. Drinking more water when you're surrounded by sick people can prevent bacteria/viruses from infecting your body.

Do not get us wrong, you have to drink water, all the time, and as often as possible. However, drinking it especially during these 8 times can bring you double the benefits.
