This Malaysian has three birth certificates however following the latest two revisions, she was no longer a Malaysian citizen and was unable to get an identity card.

Her biological mother secretly gave birth to her and abandoned her at a clinic in Kuala Lumpur 17 years ago.

Amanda is now 17 years old, and her birth certificate includes the names of her adoptive parents, who are Malaysians but she was unable to apply for a MyKad when she was 12 years old.

She received her second birth certificate when she was 16 but it did not include her parents' details, thus she has immediately declared a non-citizen.

They requested that her adoptive parents go through the adoption process and informed her that she may be a Malaysian citizen or a non-citizen.

At the beginning of this year, she received her third birth certificate when the adoptive parents completed the adoption procedure.

But, the outcome was not what she had hoped for, and the third birth certificate delivered even worse news.

According to JPN, she must resolve her citizenship-related issues before she can get an identity card.

She had compiled a lot of material and sent it to JPN, who will then provide it to the Home Ministry and wait 11 months to see whether it was authorised.

She decided to try to look for her biological mother via social media and hope that anyone can help her locate her mother to help solve her citizenship.
