Scoot, scoot
There are tons of e-scooters roaming around Dataran Merdeka, especially during the night. And with countless visitors flocking to enjoy the rides, the historical place is definitely a crowded hotspot most of the time.
With the zone being designated for e-scooters, a no-vehicle policy was implemented whereby not even motorcycles are allowed entry.
A recent video on TikTok, however, showed a motorist and his pillion rider breaching the zone, which angered several indidivuals.
While it’s unknown whether they had wandered there on purpose or not, the crowd was heard shouting, and even honking, at them to leave.
Their relentless gesture has ruffled some feathers on social media, with viewers branding them ‘rude’ for telling off the motorists with “woi”, considering they might have been lost in the first place.
One commented: “But even if they entered there on purpose, a simple “excuse me, this is a no-vehicle area” would have been polite enough”.
