Turning your hobby into a job can also be a happy thing!
According to Lightning News, a woman named A Lu from Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, can earn up to 20,000 yuan (about RM11,880) a month by providing "home cooking" services!
After her story was exposed, it sparked heated discussions among netizens and even became a hot topic on Weibo.
Ah Lu said in an interview that her monthly income from home cooking is stable between 16,000 and 20,000 RMB (about RM9,500-RM11,880).
She pointed out that she works from 8 am to 8 pm every day and can receive an average of 6 orders a day. She charges 88 yuan (about RM52) to cook three dishes and a soup, and can finish the meal in 1 hour. After the meal, she will clean up the kitchen.
However, since A-Lu likes and is good at cooking, she really likes this job and doesn't feel it is very tiring.
However, after her story went viral, some netizens questioned it, believing that it was impossible and that she could not do so many things in a day.
Facing netizens' doubts, A-Lu later posted a message on Weibo, saying that she had never thought she would become so popular.
She mentioned that about half a year ago, she was in a confused period of life. Not only was her income unstable, but she also lost her direction for the future. Later, she suddenly remembered that one of her biggest hobbies was cooking, so she began to post her previous cooking on various platforms, and finally found the job that suits her best now.
She travels to different areas of Hangzhou every day, cooking different meals, and her income is increasing with her efforts. Xiaolu also said that she would constantly think of some clever ideas to improve efficiency, so she can cook two meals in the time it takes others to cook one meal.
It was only after she gradually accumulated regular customers that she had a more stable income, so she began to shoot videos while cooking and then upload them to the Internet.
"Many people watched my videos and sent me private messages asking me to cook for them, so my customer base is growing. Now my life is completely filled with work, but I never feel tired."
She believes that she has taken the initiative to create the life she wants, and believes that everything will get better as her condition changes.
