Proud Malaysians near and far rallied around to witness a historic day as the four heroic canines involved in the tragic Batang Kali rescue mission were recognized for their tireless efforts.

The joyous ceremony saw the lovable Blake, Po, Grouse and Lady from the K9 unit honoured with the 'Golden Performance' medals by the Minister of Local Government Development, Nga Kor Ming. 

The four-legged heroes clearly dressed to impress for the award-giving ceremony as each were clad in their respective Fire and Rescue Department's (JPBM) vests. And that's not all, the canines were also treated to a bag of tasty kibbles as a token of appreciation. 

Two other canines Frankie and Denti, however, weren't present as they were involved in another mission.
