Penang: A TikTok video of a dog found resting in a drain in Gelugor has prompted a search for its owner's whereabouts.

It's unknown what circumstance caused the incident, but kind folks in the area are now taking a great care of the adorable canine. 

As pointed out by some netizens in the comments section, the dog might have been lost but then got too exhausted to return home due to its size. 

Although some also raised questions on whether it could have been a stray instead, its clean coat proved otherwise.

Here's hoping that the cutie gets home safely, and kudos to the kindhearted rescuers for keeping it safe and sound!
