Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri‘ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah sees the need for Parliament to reconvene as soon as possible, following high-level meetings with state Rulers held earlier today. 

His Majesty recorded in a statement from the palace that the reopening of Parliament will allow emergency ordinances and the National Recovery Plan to be observed more critically. 

As the nation's daily Covid-19 cases are still hovering over thousands in number, we are desperate to see some flattening in the Covid-19 curve in the near future. An effective and reliable exit strategy must be implemented to curb the pandemic.
