In a touching video shared by user @ayeerumahsifu on TikTok, the couple had came across a lost child at Queensbay Mall, Penang.
While they were strolling the place, they suddenly heard loud cries nearby, which prompted the man to seek the source.
To their shock, a toddler had been wailing in front of a store, with no guardians in sight. They quickly realized that she had been separated from her parents, and decided it was best to hand her over to the mall’s reception centre.
After several announcements were made, the man decided to stick around as he was afraid the girl might be abducted by adults posing as her parents.
At last, just minutes later, her parents rushed over to the counter and were finally reunited. The father quickly embraced Ayee and thanked them both for the heroic act, a sight that has moved viewers to tears.
While losing a child in a public place is every parent’s worst nightmare, it’s always crucial to remain vigilant of their whereabouts.
