Who’d knew enjoying a seemingly normal meal outside would then spiral into a devastating incident moments after.
Well, that’s exactly what happened to these unsuspecting diners at a food court in Malacca yesterday. Merely seconds later, around 11 of them (children included) were struck by a Toyota Avanza that had suddenly backed into the premise.
The suspect, believed to be a 16-year-old male, claimed to have accidentally stepped on the gas pedal, before shifting into the R gear in panic.
Reports found that his mother had merely ordered him to turn on the engine.
The traumatic diners can be seen wailing in shock and pain following the impact. It’s unknown whether they’ll press charges on the teenager, but the case is pending investigation.
