Panic ensued as a woman was left in utter disbelief when she discovered two of her car tyres missing at an open parking space adjacent to the Teluk Pulai KTM Komuter station. Disturbing video footage of the incident has gone viral on social media, heightening concerns about the safety of open parking spots in the vicinity.


The parking area, shrouded in darkness with only faint glimmers of light from a distance, appeared to attract nefarious individuals seeking an opportunity to strike. The heartrending video showed a black Myvi, its passenger-side tyres completely absent, leaving the driver emotionally drained and frustrated.


"They stole my tyres.. how will I go (home)? How, now? I'm feeling so stressed," the driver was heard saying in the background of the 34-second video shared on a Facebook page called DashCam CCTV Malaysia on Friday. The female driver was also heard saying that she had gastric and wanted to go home fast.



Netizens flooded the social media platform with reactions, sharing their cautionary tales and highlighting the risks of parking in secluded areas. Some users recounted similar ordeals, drawing attention to the need for vigilance when leaving vehicles unattended.


Among the comments, one netizen stressed the vulnerability of parking in poorly-lit locations, urging others to remain alert as potential thieves might be on the prowl.


K Nizam Man wrote:" Danger of parking at a secluded area. Someone will indeed be watching and seize the opportunity."


Amie Akhiar recounted a relative's encounter with tyre thieves at the very same car park.


Fortunately, a vigilant KTM worker confronted the culprits before they could escape with all four tyres, she said.


In response to the alarming number of comments referencing similar thefts, the parking space near KTM Teluk Pulai station has been termed a "black area," with recurring incidents of rim and battery thefts.


As the viral video amassed over 23,000 views and received nearly 500 reactions & comments within a day, public members are urging authorities to enhance security measures and ensure the safety of commuters' vehicles at the station's vicinity.
