Local Woman Exposes Travel Agency & Pulau Redang Resort For Terrible Services During Her Family Holiday

Malaysia is renowned for its beautiful islands, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. However, Pulau Redang has garnered a slew of negative reviews, including a recent one from local influencers who faced terrible service on the island.

Renowned medical expert and influencer, Dr. Malar, experienced a similar ordeal when she visited the island with her family through a travel agency.

Her frustrations began with the agency's lack of response to her messages, followed by an extra charge of RM400 despite making full payment for the package. The agency justified this additional fee as a result of booking on a 'peak' date.

Furthermore, she was charged an extra fee to enter the Marine Park, although it was supposedly included in the package. Dr. Malar expressed her disappointment at not being informed in advance.

The ordeal continued when her family was stopped from boarding the boat due to the resort not receiving payment for the Pulau Redang package from the agency.

The resort's suggestion to check in late infuriated her and after multiple failed calls to the agency, Dr. Malar's husband resolved the issue when he finally reached the boss. Rumours circulated among Dr. Malar's followers that this agency habitually delayed payments and operated last-minute.

During her 4-day, 3-night stay at the resort, she claimed that basic facilities were lacking.

Housekeeping was non-existent, and guests had to share brooms. Rubbish was not collected daily. The bathroom lacked proper toiletry storage, towel hangers, and other essentials.

There was no television, no provided mineral water bottles, and no telephone. Tap water was brown, and getting replacement towels required a trip to reception.

The receptionist initially refused to provide a new towel on the third day, causing a heated exchange.

Dr. Malar criticized the hotel food, likening it to dormitory meals. Despite prepaying for meals at the resort, she and her family opted to dine elsewhere due to the poor quality.

In conclusion, Dr. Malar advised the public against booking vacation packages from this travel agency based on her bitter experience.
